Responsibilities
Support Communications team members with standards, processes, and the right infrastructure to have the biggest possible impact
Draft press releases, blog posts and other press materials when needed
Compose media pitches and work to secure earned coverage of Gannett initiatives
Media list maintenance
Provide assistance in award and speaking proposal submissions
Ensure employee messaging is consistent to build commitment and engagement around the business strategy
Work to establish and continuously refine the corporate narrative, with clear, compelling, and consistent messages to support the brand and corporate reputation
Monitor and track media coverage of the business and brands
Participate in production of employee events such as quarterly town halls, annual company employee awards and other events as needed
Brainstorm social media strategies for tentpole events and support social channels when needed
Help monitor corporate social media channels
