I began my internal communications journey early in 2014. Back then, many people didn't know what the role of internal communications was, nor did they understand its value or importance. Many people often confused internal communications with executive assistant duties or event administrative assistance work (shout out to all the EA's - yall are amazing and are also workplace culture creators!) However, fast forward to 2020, the pandemic hit, and companies realized they needed a team to keep employees engaged, connected, and informed in a virtual environment. And that's when more companies began to explore what internal communication is and its value and impact on business success.
As I've noticed more and more companies prioritizing the importance of creating better cultures for employees, I see this is as an opportunity for workplace culture creators to gather and join forces to create better cultures across industries for our current generation and the next. My goal is to build a community for workplace culture creators to exchange ideas, share best practices, learn from each other, and grow together.
So if you're a newbie or a veteran workplace culture creator, this community is for you. Let's create good culture together.
