We are a 501(3)(c) non-profit organization built for and by Black venture investors dedicated to increasing the representation of Black investors within venture capital now and for generations to come. Through our educational programs, networking opportunities, and national chapters, we provide the tools and connections to accelerate the careers of Black investors in venture capital. To do this, we implement programs, host educational and community events, and work with venture firms to diversify their investors and pipelines. We are currently active in the following regions/markets: San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, Washington D.C., and Atlanta.
We are seeking a highly organized and motivated full-time Program Associate to provide support to the Program Officer in the planning and execution of our three programs.. The Program Associate will report to the Program Officer and work closely with other members of the organization. The Program Associate will play a critical role in supporting the growth and success of our educational programs.
The ideal candidate will have great organizational skills, be a team player, and have a passion for supporting Black professionals in the venture capital industry. Responsibilities
Assist the Program Officer in the planning and execution of educational programs, including coordinating guest speakers and mentors, scheduling virtual sessions, and ensuring the smooth operation of the program.
Provide administrative support for program-related tasks, such as managing program CRM and databases, tracking participant progress, and communicating with program participants.
Support the planning and execution of the annual in-person program alumni networking event.
Help develop program-related materials, including presentations, session guides, and other program-related documents.
Assist in the evaluation and analysis of program outcomes, including collecting feedback from program participants.
Track the progress and success of program alumni as they pursue careers in the venture capital industry.
Develop and maintain relationships with venture capital firms and other industry partners to create networking opportunities and career development resources for program alumni and stay up-to-date on job opportunities and industry trends.
Serve as a liaison between program alumni and venture capital firms, connecting qualified alumni with open positions and facilitating introductions.
Help alumni prepare for job interviews by providing guidance on interview skills, resume and cover letter writing, and other relevant topics.
Monitor job boards and other relevant sources for job openings in the venture capital industry and share those opportunities with program alumni.
Coordinate with the Program Officer to create programming specifically for program alumni, including networking events, mentorship opportunities, and career development workshops.
Work with our social media team to make program announcements, including the achievements of program alumni and promote their success within the industry.
